Jains India Trust, a dedicated Religious Charitable Trust, was founded in 2002 by Shri Sugal Chand Jain — an eminent entrepreneur and philanthropist — with the mission to promote Jainism in all its dimensions, including philosophy, literature, architecture and way of life.
Shri Sugal Chand Jain firmly believes that the Jain community has immense potential to contribute meaningfully to national and global growth and this potential must be nurtured irrespective of financial background. With this vision, the Trust extends its support to every sect of the Jain community, especially focusing on the poor, the needy and those who remain unnoticed on the periphery.
Contrary to common perception, many Jain families continue to face financial hardships yet hesitate to seek assistance. The Trust strives to identify such deserving individuals and offer essential support, empowering them to uplift themselves and lead a dignified life like their more fortunate peers.
The Jain community has immense potential to contribute meaningfully to national and global growth — and this potential must be nurtured irrespective of financial background.

The Trust provides scholarships to deserving Jain students and stipends to students pursuing higher studies in Jainology. It supports beneficiaries from all sects of the Jain community, with special attention to poor and financially disadvantaged families who may hesitate to seek assistance.
So far, the Trust has provided scholarships to 12,976 students and stipends to 479 students. Through this support, Jains India Trust aims to help deserving individuals pursue education, preserve Jain knowledge and values, and lead a dignified and self-reliant life.
